If you use a property manager, we have two types of Landlord Insurance policies available. Our Landlord Preferred Policy covers those with permanent tenancies and our Scheer Short Stay Policy covers those with short-term rentals or holiday homes.

Why Landlord Insurance is important

Landlord Insurance covers you for tenant-related losses. Things like loss of rent due to a tenant breaking their lease or being evicted, or damage caused to your contents by tenants, like drink spills on carpets. I went online and was surprised to find that their product was much better for my needs and was focussed well on landlords only. The online process was much simpler, quicker and easier to find what you were actually covered for too and what it would cover. The rent in arrears paid was more generous than the others I'd researched and with a nil excess. Just what you need when things go wrong with a renter which I had some previous experience with. It was just a bit more expensive than the one that I had purchased. I rang the first company and cancelled the policy as I was still in the cooling off period and explained my reasons. (I have to say they were very polite). Very happy.
