The Landlord Preferred Policy covers accidental loss or damage. Accidental loss or damage is that caused by an event other than fire, explosion, lightning, earthquake, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, theft or theft damage, water damage, leakage of oil, breakage of glass, impact by vehicles, watercraft, aircraft, or articles dropped there from, space debris, trees, storm, and rainwater and flood. Accidental loss or damage by persons including tenants is covered to the properties contents and accidental loss or damage by tenants, their family or invitees is covered to the building structure subject to policy limits. Accidental damage attracts an excess per event as per excess chart below, but where a claim involves at least two occurrences, the excess shall be capped at two excesses per claim.
